More than a booking app

Most Bus Companies in Kenya have never had a booking system of their own. Masafa gives them one: they publish their routes and trips, sell seats at the counter and online, manage their fleet and crew, and see every passenger on the conductor's list — all on the same platform.

Because every seat is sold through one system, the seat you book on your phone is the same seat on the conductor's list. A seat can be held or sold to only one passenger at a time.

What we hold ourselves to

• Your seats are held for you before you pay, and released at no charge if the hold runs out.
• A payment still being confirmed is never shown to you as failed.
• The full price, including the KES 20 booking fee per seat, is shown before you pay.
• Ratings come only from passengers who travelled.
• A Bus Company sees only its own passengers — never your trips with anyone else.

For Bus Companies

Masafa runs the operation behind the booking: trips and seat inventory, counter sales, manifests, crew, parcels and settlement. Bus Companies join through an onboarding process with the Masafa team.
